The Afenmai World Congress (AWC), a leading global advocacy non-governmental organization dedicated to the advancement and continuous improvement of Afemai-land, mourns the passing of His Royal Majesty (Alhaji) Dr. Andrew Yesufu Eshioramhe Dirisu, J.P. OON, the esteemed Okuokpellagbe of Okpella Kingdom in Edo State, on February 19th, 2019.
HRM was a remarkable patriot, elder statesman, devoted and exemplary royal father, a dynamic monarch, and a steadfast supporter of all Afemai people. Throughout his reign, he worked tirelessly to promote peace, unity, and progress in Afemai-land.
The AWC and the people of Afemai-land have lost a true icon, a staunch advocate for peaceful coexistence, and a revered, unwavering traditional ruler. His Royal Majesty's impact on our community will be long remembered, and his dedication to the well-being of the people of Afemai-land will continue to inspire future generations.
We extend our deepest condolences to the people of Okpella Kingdom and pray for solace and strength during this difficult time. May His Royal Majesty's soul rest in eternal peace. Amen.
The United States of America - based Afemai World Congress Inc (AWC) sadly announce the transition to higher glory of Afemai illustrious son and Atlanta based Prince Dennis Abuda, who was cruelly murdered in Nigeria on January 30,2021 by kidnappers. Prince Abuda was a true Afemai Patriot who believed Afemai people in the diasporas must remember to share their resources to improve and develop Afemailand. Prince Abuda worked tirelessly to actualize AWC's mission. AWC and Afemai people will miss him. AWC will carry on his dream and vision - n' Afemai yalo. May the gentle soul of Prince Dennis Eloniyo Abuda eternally rest in the Bosom of the Lord, Amen.
